Welcome to the New Bruntsfield Pharmacy Website

Our new website is live. The short version: it should now take you a lot less time to do whatever you came here to do, whether that is booking a travel appointment, ordering a repeat prescription, or checking what something costs before you walk through the door.

We have been a community pharmacy on Bruntsfield Place since 2023, and most of what we do happens face to face. The website is simply there to make the rest of it easier.

Find the right service without guessing

We offer more than a hundred NHS and private services. That is genuinely useful and, if we are honest, it was genuinely hard to navigate before.

Everything is now grouped into ten clinics: NHS Services, Travel Clinic, General Vaccinations, Ear Health, Blood Tests, Sexual Health, Private Prescribing Service and Weight Loss.

Book an appointment online, at any hour

Travel vaccinations are the clearest example. You can read what a service involves, then book a time that suits you without waiting until we are open to ring us.

One practical note. If you are travelling soon, book as early as you can. Several travel vaccines need more than one dose, and some courses run over a number of weeks. Rabies and Japanese Encephalitis are the usual culprits. Give us a bit of notice and we can almost always work something out.

Repeat prescriptions in about two minutes

The prescription request form now asks for what we actually need, in a sensible order: your details, your medication, your GP surgery, and whether you would like to collect from us or have it delivered.

Both collection and home delivery are free. Please allow four full working days for your prescription to be processed by your GP and by us, and order in good time if you are running low.

Prices you can check before you visit

Our full price list is on the site, covering travel and specialty vaccinations, ear health, dermatology, weight loss and private services with the medication supplied. Prices, number of doses and dosing schedules are all there.

We would rather you saw the cost up front than had to ask at the counter.

It works properly on your phone

Most people visit us from a phone, often standing in a queue somewhere or halfway through packing for a trip. Every part of the site now works the same way on a small screen as it does on a laptop, including the booking and prescription forms.

New to the pharmacy?

If you would like us to look after your prescriptions, you can register as a patient online. It takes a few minutes and saves a conversation later.
